Investment follows Royal Cup’s acquisition of Farmer Brothers and supports the combined company’s continued integration and growth
August 25, 2026 – A&M Capital Strategic Investments (“AMCSI”), A&M Capital’s dedicated active minority investment strategy, is pleased to announce that it has completed a minority investment in Royal Cup Coffee and Tea (“Royal Cup” or the “Company”), a portfolio company of Braemont Capital (“Braemont”). AMCSI’s investment follows Royal Cup’s May 2026 acquisition of Farmer Brothers Coffee Co. (“Farmer Brothers”) and will support the combined company’s continued integration and growth.
Headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, and led by CEO Chip Wann, Royal Cup is a leading manufacturer and distributor of premium coffee and tea serving the North American food service, hospitality, convenience, office and specialty coffee markets. In December 2025, Braemont partnered with Royal Cup to provide growth capital and operational support for the Company’s continued expansion.
Founded in 1912, Farmer Brothers brings an established portfolio of brands and a complementary route-based distribution and equipment service network to the combined platform. Royal Cup completed its acquisition of Farmer Brothers in May 2026.
The acquisition of Farmer Brothers advances Braemont and Royal Cup’s previously established strategy to build a scaled national coffee, tea and beverage services platform. The combination deepens Royal Cup’s presence in existing markets, extends its reach into new geographies and customer relationships, and expands its route-based distribution, equipment service and manufacturing capabilities. The combined company will operate under the Royal Cup name, with a network spanning the United States, Caribbean, Mexico and Canada across diversified end markets and customers.
“We are excited to partner with Braemont and Royal Cup as the Company enters its next phase of growth following the acquisition of Farmer Brothers,” said Thomas Slater, Partner, AMCSI. “Braemont and the Royal Cup management team have created a differentiated national beverage platform. AMCSI’s experience partnering with sponsor-backed businesses, together with the capabilities available through A&M Consulting, positions us to be a value-added minority partner as the combined company continues its integration and executes its growth plan.”
AMCSI completed its investment on August 17, 2026.
