George K. Kollitides, II

Mr. Kollitides is an AMCO Partner who invests in North American, lower, middle-market companies, that exhibit the potential for growth, business improvement or are non-core to their owners, which can benefit from sophisticated capital and operating partners to support them. As a former CEO and entrepreneur, he is an operationally oriented investor, who enjoys building businesses. Over thirty years of helping build dozens of companies, he has developed an investing and operating philosophy rooted in six sigma and the GE and Toyota management systems, focused on people, process, technology, and growth to ensure repeatable outcomes, which he uses to help companies scale and professionalize.

Prior to joining AMCO, Mr. Kollitides was a private equity Partner at Cerberus Capital Management, L.P. (“Cerberus”), a global investment manager, as well as the CEO of a $1.0 billion Cerberus portfolio company.  Mr. Kollitides joined Cerberus after it acquired TenX Capital Management, a middle-market operations and private equity firm he co-founded. Prior to co-founding TenX, he was a Principal at Catterton Partners, a middle-market, operationally oriented, consumer focused, private equity firm. Mr. Kollitides started his career at GE, where he was Six Sigma trained and held a variety of positions in leveraged finance, restructuring and private equity.

Over his career, he has served as a CEO, Chairman, Lead Director or Director of numerous public, private and non-profit boards, where he has helped dozens of middle-market companies scale and professionalize. He sits on AMCO’s Investment and Valuation Committees and is currently a Director of Frontier Dermatology Partners and Worldwise, Inc.

Mr. Kollitides is passionate about youth sports, health and education, and wildlife conservation. He has previously served on the Yale New Haven Hospital-Bridgeport Hospital Foundation, the Good Sports New York Advisory Board, the Lafayette College Board of Trustees’ Financial Policy Committee, DOMUS, the Orthopeadic Foundation, and as a volunteer fireman.
