New York, NY, April 5, 2010 – Alvarez & Marsal Capital , LLC (A&M Capital), a recently-capitalized business focused on private equity and alternative asset investing activities, announced that Kurtis J. Kaull has joined as a managing director and partner. A&M Capital is an independent affiliate of Alvarez & Marsal Holdings, the leading global professional services firm specializing in turnaround management, performance improvement and business advisory services. Mr. Kaull brings nearly two decades of private equity investing experience focusing on undermanaged or underperforming middle market companies.

Prior to joining A&M Capital, Mr. Kaull was a partner at Gryphon Investors, an operationally-oriented investment firm with more than $900 million of assets under management. He also previously served as a partner at American Industrial Partners, a private investment fund with over $1 billion of assets under management. Prior to that, he was a principal with Pexco Holdings, the private investment vehicle for the family office of a Forbes 400 entrepreneur. Earlier in his career, he served as an associate in the Mergers & Acquisitions department of Goldman, Sachs & Co where he acted as an advisor in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and corporate restructurings.
Kaull holds a bachelor’s degree as well as a JD / MBA from Georgetown University.
