Strategy

The primary strategy of A&M Capital Partners is to invest in controlling interests in middle-market companies with identifiable opportunities for operational improvements, business turnarounds and / or financial recapitalizations. A&M Capital Partners invests in established operating companies in which it believes it is possible to conduct fundamental investment analysis on reliable data that exists in order to evaluate historical performance and future prospects. A&M Capital Partners targets private companies and divisions or subsidiaries of public and private companies with enterprise values between $100 and $750 million. We seek to make investments primarily in companies based in North America and Europe.

In general, we pursue:

▲ Underperforming middle-market companies where there is a high degree of confidence in A&M Capital Partners’ ability to create value through performance improvements or business turnarounds

▲ Special situations in which a liquidity solution facilitates the recapitalization of a stressed balance sheet

▲ Bespoke solutions for underperforming credits in bank and other lender portfolios in which interim management and other performance improvement capabilities may be required alongside new equity capital

▲ Investments related to corporate divestitures or carve-outs, which often require significant operational and / or managerial support to create well functioning and efficient stand-alone businesses

▲ Build-up and consolidation strategies, where value can be created through synergy identification and execution as well as merger integration capabilities

Control Investors

A&M Capital Partners seeks controlling ownership stakes in target companies and will opportunistically acquire significant minority positions to the extent negative control can be achieved. In either case, A&M Capital Partners requires board representation and control or significant influence over critical operational, capital structure, personnel, corporate governance and exit / liquidity decisions. We make investments in common stock, preferred stock or other convertible securities.
